Target Groups The most deprived communities of Itahari and Dharan (in Nepal), with a key focus on women and youths.
Activity Project design; Support to the project implementation to promote the transition of the female farmers to a new system of rural work’s specialization, practical recover and preservation of the agri-food traditional knowledge, and set up and management of community basic health care centres. 
The key problem   The dramatic health and hygiene, work, housing and economic conditions of some specific communities of IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) in Nepal.
The key need  A comprehensive support to boost social, economic, health and sanitation development inside the target communities, focusing on women and youth as strength and drivers of growth. 
Results 
  • 6493 people trained on health and hygiene 
  • 6 Basic Health Service established
  • 300 tube-wells constructed 
  • 100 community water tanks constructed 
  • 500 pit latrines built
  • 100 shared sensitive sites paved and improved 
  • 4899 women trained on division and specialization of female working tasks in rural areas
  • 60 self help women associations instituted 
  • 3000 copies of a booklet on agri-food traditional knowledge
  • 80 family managed (female leaded) micro-enterprises in rural areas
  • 50 family managed (female leaded) micro-enterprises in urban areas
  • 1 territorial network bodies/actors engaged in habitat management and environment preservation created.
